You have obviously come to this page to find out a bit more about me so here it is.
I have had a lifelong passion for all things 'Book' related. I remember going to my local library where I grew up in Liverpool and handing my card over to the librarian as I took out various storybooks. They took me to far away places and told me about the lives of people that I would never know. At Christmas and birthdays I would collect any money I was given and head off into town to buy my own books. That love of escapism I found in those stories has never left me.
As I got that bit older I would write short versions of stories that I had read. I would fancy myself as an acclaimed author and practiced my signature just in case I became famous. However, whilst the dream remained, 'life' took over. Now married with a grown up family I decided that if I didn't follow that dream now, I would never do it.
I published my debut novel in December 2023. 'The Dark Harvest' is a fast paced contemporary thriller set in the world of medical research.
Although I read books from differing genres my preferred choice would be fantasy. Which is strange given my debut novel is not in that genre. However my next book will be. The current working title is World Of Rock and is a comic fantasy heavily influenced by the writings of Sir Terry Pratchett and his Discworld novels.

As well as writing novels I will publish regular blogs to do with the literary world along with releasing a weekly book reading podcast, Mark Reads A Good Book.
